What do you do on Valentine’s Day? Well, go to Iceland of course. This trip started out with a stop in New York City where the weather was 40 degrees, with a strong wind, and rain. Want to guess what the weather in Iceland was? Exactly, the same. This was supposed to be the Northern Lights Tour but Mother Nature had a different plan. It was called the wet, gloomy tour. No matter, Iceland was great. Since this was a tour trip, it meant riding on a bus everywhere along with the getting on and off the bus. I’m really not a big fan of this big group trip stuff so consider it a lesson in what to expect with a really good deal but a really big group. Now the accommodations were excellent. In fact, I was expecting a little less of the hotels since the price was so good but this is Iceland and it seems you can get some great hotels all over. Trip hotel locations consisted of stays in Hella and Reykjavik. As for restaurants in Reykjavik, its not cheap but not five dollar prices either. So without getting too detailed, enjoy the pictures of my non-Northern light trip. I definitely want to go back.
And to finish it off, a swim in one of the most amazing Natural Wonders of the World, the Blue Lagoon!
